LEBIZU Awarded Groundwater Investigation Project by Abyssinia Flowers

We are pleased to announce that LEBIZU has been awarded a groundwater investigation and geophysical survey project by Abyssinia Flowers. This project reflects a shared commitment to developing a reliable and sustainable groundwater source to support the company’s operations.

As part of the assignment, LEBIZU will conduct a Vertical Electrical Sounding (VES) survey to investigate the subsurface geological and hydrogeological conditions of the project area. The survey will identify potential groundwater-bearing formations, determine the depth and thickness of aquifers, estimate the depth to bedrock, and assess the site’s groundwater potential.

Based on the survey findings, LEBIZU will recommend the most suitable locations for borehole drilling, providing Abyssinia Flowers with a strong scientific basis for groundwater development. The investigation is expected to reduce drilling uncertainty, increase the likelihood of successful borehole development, and promote the sustainable use of groundwater resources.

This project demonstrates the value of integrating geophysical surveys with hydrogeological expertise to support informed decision-making before drilling, said Simegnew Tadeg, Lead Water Expert at LEBIZU. “We are delighted to collaborate with Abyssinia Flowers and look forward to delivering practical, high-quality solutions that contribute to the sustainable management of water resources.

At LEBIZU, we are committed to delivering science-based consulting services that enable clients to make informed decisions on groundwater exploration and water resource development. By combining advanced geophysical techniques with specialized hydrogeological expertise, we continue to support sustainable development and strengthen water security across Ethiopia.
